It is cooling down some here. I am very happy

19 May

(May12th)

It’s funny that you have a picture of me on skype the other missionaries tried to do the same thing but they all forgot to save it, so now I’m the only one with a picture of skype haha. But I did enjoy skypeing a lot, I hope I didn’t make you all wait too long. The week was great, we found a lot of great people but a lot of the weren’t able to go to church because of mother’s day, but next week they will all be there for sure, and we did bring one guy to church who is pretty awesome, I believe he will be baptized, but today before email we were in another part of town, led by what appeared unluck, but we sat down waiting, and a guy stopped and started to ask us about our work, and talk about a lot of stuff, he had seen The Other Side of Heaven and had a lot to say, and to make a long conversation short he is very ready to except the gospel, the lord works in mysterious ways, we shouldn’t have even needed to go there. But I hope you all have a great week, and I will pray for you all.

(May 19th)

I am glad to hear that things are progressing so fast there, Eve, Aurora and Tawny have all passed to be one more Year older, and one year closer to finishing school. And I can’t believe Eve is so close to leaving for a mission, it is all going so fast. Well this week started out pretty slow with nothing happing and we were confused by the days passing by without anything, then we did a fast and started a personal sanctification and things began to change quickly to make this week a very very good week, we will baptize the mother of a member here this week without a doubt, and we will baptize another woman very cool this next week, but best of all, this past Saturday a family that I taught and cared a lot about was baptized this past week, and I am very happy, we also can complete a part member family here baptizing the husband, and last night we found a lot of great people. Also this week I began a program to memorize Scriptures, and the way to do it has made it so easy and fast that I have already memorized more than 20 this week and I plan to have more than 1000 by the end of my mission, and it’s in the form that I won’t forget them, and I know the book and numbers, I have also memorized the books in the bible and Book of Mormon in order and a lot more, I have found that I could even memorize more than 100 numbers of pie in just half an hour. It’s cool. It is also cooling down some here. I am very happy here on the mission, what would you guys think of me staying a little more time out? Well I hope you all have a great week and that you remember me as time passes.

Focusing our efforts to build a branch.

12 May

Wow, I can’t believe that, I write both of them each week with email (referring to the Shrack missionaries whose mom, Cindy, had passed away) , I wouldn’t even think of returning home, my president said if something bad happens while on the mission it would be a million times worse if you weren’t on the mission. I will pray for them. And I hope dad gets well, I want everyone well and cheery for skype this week. It’s crazy to think Eve will leave for her mission soon, I can’t wait to find out where she will go. I hope all goes well this week. Well recently President Souza spoke with my companion and I and asked that we focus our efforts in an area far from our house to baptize a lot there and form a branch there, I am very excited. And we have marked a few dates of baptism here already, two for this week. One was really funny, an older lady was insistent that she would stay in her church until we explained how to receive the gift of the holy ghost, she realized that she didn’t receive it and that her baptism wasn’t valid, then she began to talk about how her church had a lot of things wrong and that she knew ours is the only true church, and she had even felt a prompting to go to our church while walking to hers. It was funny to see the change in her attitude. but we are having a lot of miracles, and I know the lord will bless you all immensely, just do the basics.

And for skype we will plan for 6 o’clock, according to the time here.

I have arrived in paradise

4 May

(April 28th) Well after 8 months in the same area I have arrived in paradise, I am companions with the assistant here in Barra de garça, it is the most wonderfully beautiful place in the mission, with toucans, and iguanas seen every day, and with mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and even indians. Here we have a great little branch that is alone, it is not part of a stake or district, but we are here to help it grow tremendously. I am very excited for the new area, it is also the hottest area, but using an umbrella to block the sun has helped a lot, we already have found 4 great people to bring to church and to be baptized in the following weeks and also we have a great family to be baptized here this following week, I am thinking of buying a better camera just for this place, I will try to send photos for you all in the following emails, but just know that I am a very happy missionary and I hope that all is going well for you all there, have a great week and I will have information with skpe next week.

Love you all so much,

Elder Inman

(April 21st)  Well I was transferred so I do not know where I will be for mother’s day but I believe we will find a place to skype. The dogs are very cute and my companion is very fond of them. I have loved the past 3 weeks, I have learned and grown so much and we baptized A, she is the most faithful investigator and now member that I have seen, even with all of the members in the church here in Rio Verde she has been more faithful in scripture study, church attendance, and in seminary attendance. That made me very happy to see her get baptized, I even had a dream that Jupiter crashed into Earth and aliens took over and she still was baptized. I was told my new area will be a little crazy so I am excited but it is very hard to let go of an area that I have been serving in for 7 1/2 months, I will miss a lot of people and have already seen a few cry. Here for Easter we switch chocolate eggs for a tradition, it’s crazy how expensive they are though. Well I hope you all have an amazing week and that all goes well.

I am praying for you all,
