I will miss these people so much, though it was a wonderful last week

1 Jun

Looks like you’ve got all the right travel information.

This week was full of things to do, that baptism that you saw was very expensive, I’ve never seen one so done up, but it’s an old catholic tradition, and those are strong here in brazil. june2015 2

We also had my last baptism, it was a wonderful service.June 2015 I will miss these people so much, though it was a wonderful last week, I said my goodbyes to some, took many pictures, and I will still have a goodbye dinner tonight, but here in a small amount of time I will be saying hello, though I feel I am getting fat in these last few days, so much food.

Two years is not even close to enough time, it went so quickly. I am very happy with the opportunity that I was given to serve the Lord, I really did work with all my power heart mind and strength, I never was perfect but I know the lord is perfecting me. If that make sense, it does in Portuguese. I am very excited to once again be with my family, knowing that I left you all to help other families, it is an experience that will always be a part of me. I loved the mission, I love you all and I can’t wait to see you again.

Nice, whatever you need when I get home, I’m all yours, I have a lot of energy, I can’t even imagine slowing down, so when I get hope I hope to continue to be productive. This week we had 11 people visit church, it was a great Sunday, and I do believe many of them will be baptized in the coming weeks. I love the mission so much.

I am also very happy to be able to see you all again, in just one more blink of an eye, I’ll be seeing you all. I am amazed.

I also want to thank you mom and dad, you two are truly miracle workers, I have never seen someone who has had so much success in the home, it makes me proud every time that I can talk about you two, and when I show your pictures to our investigators. We have members here who want to send with me gifts for my Mom, because you are so great.

It will be interesting to try to adjust to life after the mission, I can’t get my head around it, it must have been like this when god said it was my turn to go to earth.

I love you all so much.

This week we saw a man rob a house in clear daylight

24 May

This week was very good. One of my recent converts got a calling and was at church almost on time, he always was late before this. We also got to work a lot with the members, we are trying to help complete some families here. We are teaching one man who is very good, he is very smart and very interested in the church, he also has already given us presents, Our baptism was postponed because she had to go to the hospital, she had a dental surgery that went badly. So she will get baptized this next week.

We also got to see one of our investigators go to church, we have been teaching her for quite a while and she finally went even though she found out that someone died in the family as she was leaving, and she was sick.

This week we also saw a man rob a house in clear daylight, he ran into the house full of people and ran out and hoped on a motorcycle and was off, that was an interesting thing to witness. Also this week I will cash my loss change, 95 reais.

We had a great family night. And my last zone conference.

I am running to finish my mission and it has been a very important part of my mission. I’m glad that I was given this opportunity to stay here this month.

I am also glad when I get to hear about experiences with you guys and the missionaries, it is very important to have that member there, it makes it all more real.

Time passes by so quickly, I can’t wait to be there with you all to help out and to be part of all that is happing there.

I love you all so much

luckily the mosquitos have lost their taste for my blood

17 May

(May 11)

It was very cool to speak on skype for the last time with you all, though it was more of a ´´see you in a couple weeks´´ type deal. I’m also glad to know what I’ll be doing when I get home. I think this will be the fastest 3 weeks of my life, the members are already talking about my going away, this is my last week to find new people that I can see the baptism of, and there is just too much to do. I’ll be sprinting, literally this month. I found my twin as I mentioned, he was born also April 6th 1994, but I forgot to mention that my companion also found his twin, a young man in the ward. This week we would have had a baptism but she got dengue, a lot of people here are getting it, it’s pretty bad, you lose plates in your blood and it get worse and worse and you lose energy and get fever and need to go to the hospital a lot, and just about everyone here has gotten it, but luckily the mosquitos have lost their taste for my blood, I have been safe from it.

I am very excited to see you all soon, and I’ll try to make my time here the best used.

Love you all

may 2015 I May 2015 II Mother's day hangout

(May 4)

It has been a while since I’ve felt cold, it might be good if I become like a normal person and start feeling the cold a little more so that I don’t sweat so much in the heat, I think I have improved with that one.

It sure does look like you all had a lot of fun, I can’t wait till I can do stuff with the family again, though I’m not in a rush, I will also like to jump into the water.

The pics do make me happy, I don’t really think I have ever felt homesick, I think I was blessed not to get that.

I hope Tawny gets her call this week I would love to see her open it.

My new companion is Elder Valenzuela, though he is not from Venezuela, he is from Honduras. It will be a very fun Last transfer will him, he is very easy going and smart, so he will learn the language quickly, we don’t have too much of a language barrier.

This week was a very special one for me because we baptized the mother of the first baptism we had in this area, after 4 months of working with her she was baptized and it made her son, her and me very happy.

Also at sacrament a couple of our recent converts shared their testimony, it was very touching.

I don’t have a picture to send of the baptism but Im sure Josue has already posted it on facebook.

I hope you all have a great week

One more month

I hope to finish the Book of Mormon before I return home I am finishing Alma now, this will be the 7th time I will finish it on the mission, but we are marking in blue everything we see on of Christ’s names, it’s pretty cool. We just had my last transfer, I will stay in these two cities, but I will now be a trainer and a district leader, that is exactly what I had wanted from the beginning of my mission to end training, now I can say to my comp when he asks me how long I have on the mission ´´I have less months than you do years´´ that will be fun.

I am very excited, I will get to work a lot and I will try to make this the best transfer of my mission, though it will only be 5 weeks and this week will go quick because of transfers.

We have two baptisms marked for Saturday, it will be amazing, there is a very wealthy man in our stake who has taken to one of our recent converts and he will go to the baptism because it’s our recent convert’s mom who will be baptized. We worked a lot this week, we taught 50 lessons this week, we had some great family night activities that we did and we have some great activities planned.

It is weird that the others are going home this week but I am super happy that I asked to stay one more, it doesn’t feel like my mission should have ended this week.

I hope you all have a great week and that the peaches live.

I have found that I do find the greatest joy when I serve.

26 Apr

(April 20th)

The yard look well kept, you never really needed me.

I don’t even need to send pictures because you see all of them before I can send them haha, before I see them too.

I think Tawny will go to France or in the USA New York.

Its weird to already be planning my return home, it’s coming up too quickly. I am loving the mission more and more, I saw such an excited and happy Ward this week, the Bishop is awesome, we get so much food, and our investigators and recent converts are all progressing excellently. One of our investigators asked to be baptized at church and marked her own date of baptism, I have been amazed at home my we have done here and how little of it was us that did it, it could only be the Lord that can make such a large difference. It has been very difficult to work in the two cities and I am very tired but it was one of our best weeks.

I have found that you really do find the greatest joy when you serve.

I hope you have a great week one and all

Love you guys

I sure will try my best after the mission to always be helpful to you guys. I sure do owe you guys a lot.

Also Enoch has very long hair…

How is that growing fence going in the front yard, has it had some good progress, and the peaches, are they good?

I hope to each some good food from the garden when I get home, I’ve missed it a lot.

This week was great, though not very easy, we have had to cover two areas, and they are in two cities, so we travel between the two frequently to work in each one, it has been a trip. But we do like the two areas, and the church is located in the other city so that’s nice. Also we have a house there too, and it’s with a member and they like giving us some great food. My birthday was great as you have seen in the video.

I love the mission and I can’t wait to see what happen in the next few weeks. I hope that all goes well for you all, and that you can see the Lord in each day.

we had a wonderful baptism

12 Apr

I didn’t get to see any pictures, but I am sure Easter was fun, an Inman Easter is always a good one.

Also I found out there is an Elder Inman serving in Indiana, he’s From California, an investigator confused him for me when she looked for me on FB.

We had a baptism for Easter, it was awesome, and it was of a great family. That was a very nice B-day Present.

I loved Conference, I learned so much, I find it gets better each time. I did miss a lot of it though because we had to prepare the baptismal font, and it wasn’t draining so we had to scoop it all out with a bucket, my companion did it. But it all worked out, and we had a wonderful baptism, there wasn’t enough room in the room for all the people to sit or enter.

I really like the talk on grace, and on our agency.

It was also interesting how much the church has been focusing on freedom of religion and marriage.

I hope you all have a wonderful week, I know I will, I’m 21, so strange. (President gave me a silk tie for my birthday, it made the other Elders Jealous haha)

it will be an awesome baptism

5 Apr

Man! I am so excited that we will have a temple so close, I hope to see the open house and dedication.

I am also very happy to see you had such a great conference. I am supper excited for this one it will be amazing and we hope to have 4-6 baptisms this day if all goes well, 4 would have been this week but the bishop wanted to do more for this family so he asked us to re-mark it for next week, it will be an awesome baptism.

I love the gospel so much and I am so happy to know that we are being led by living prophets, what they say to us now is even more important than the others said in the past. I know that they are inspired, I am studying the talks from last conference and I have found so many small treasures from it.

I hope you all have a great conference, I’ll have bunches to say afterward.

I am also so grateful for all those who have helped so much in my mission, I couldn’t do this all alone, I am sure.

I hope you have a great week.

we are finding many great men who are leading their families

29 Mar

Spring here is Fall, So we are in Fall now which is nice, I felt like we have been blessed lately, it hasn’t been quite as hot, it’s been in the 80s recently, I think I have been able to stop sweating so much also, which is great, I remember at the beginning of my mission I was literally dripping sweat all day every day.

I don’t actually have to bad of a farmers tan, though my arms are much darker than my belly, it’s a gradual transition, but you will be able to see even a tie tan line.

Yes I heard about Eve I’m excited for her, we write each week, I can tell she´ll do great.

I am super excited for David and Camden too, it is true that every super hero needs a side kick.

I think I only miss the cold and the water for now, it would be nice to jump in a pool about now haha

I keep a journal but I have negligent a little for a couple months but I was writing every day, we have a lot less time as Zone Leader to write, but I’ll whip myself back into shape for that.

This week was excellent, we had so much fun, we taught so many great people, a lot of new people visited the church this week, and it seems we are finding many great men who are leading their families, that a nice change, the lord really is preparing this area to open a branch, the stake wants to open a branch, and just skip the step of group, so they will get ready to open the branch this year, and the lord is preparing the leaders.

I will have many stories to share that even if I give a thousand talks I won’t use them all up.

I hope you all stay warm and happy, I’m so grateful for my family, it’s the best.

I love you all so much, Com Amor, Elder Inman
